IL RACCONTO DI

GIULIA

OLIVIA

Hello, I’m Olivia,
I’m 16 years old and was born on the 16th of march 2001, born and raised in Milan, Italy, from an American mother and Italian father. I have an older sister Rebecca, she’s 21 years old and goes to university in the U.S.A.
Last September I decided to change high schools because I wasn’t sure about the subject that I was studying (graphic arts) but most of all I did not like my classmates at all, they were selfish, egocentric and only thought about their appearance. It was a very difficult thing to admit to my parents but most of all myself cause I didn’t want to let anyone down. We started to search for a new school, my father did not like the idea of sending me to a beauty school just because he though it wasn’t good enough for me and that I needed more.
After a little bit he realized that I would be going to this private school in Varese called “Dorsi Academy” and he kind of settled down from there. I decided that I wanted to start over again, without looking back at my previous year that I heated, and create a new experience for myself, so the first day at my new school (27th of September 2016) I was really nervous but really happy too, so I walked in as a new Olivia.
And now looking back on this school year I wouldn’t change anything because I loved everything about it, my new classmates who I love, my teachers who are amazing and my family who supported me trough thick and thin with this change. I will be eternally gratefull for all of it.
